    Becoming a globalCOAL Market Member...
    ... allows your company to transact physical and financial coal on the Standard Coal System. Physical coal trading is based on a Standard Coal Trading Agreement (SCoTA) with standard coal qualities (for ARA, Richards Bay and Newcastle). Financial is based on the Master Agreement Standard Coal Derivatives (MASCoD). These are the steps to becoming a Market Member of globalCOAL:
    1. Download the Product License Agreement (PLA), have one copy signed by an authorised representative of your company and return a copy to globalCOAL;
    2. Download the Usage Agreement, have two copies signed by an authorised representative of your company and return both copies to globalCOAL for counter-signature;
    3. If you want to trade financial coal, also download the MASCoD Agreement, have two copies signed by an authorised representative of your company and return both copies to globalCOAL for counter-signature;
    4. The person who signed the Usage Agreement should download and complete the globalCOAL Usage Agreement (Info Form), advising globalCOAL of:
      - the nominated Authorised Traders and/or Viewers for your company; and
      - a nominated Account Administrator for your company
    5. Have your nominated Account Administrator complete your Counterparty List indicating which other globalCOAL Market Members your company can buy from and sell to;
    6. Download and install the Standard Coal System software from the Download Centre. Your nominated traders and viewers will be sent their log in details.
    Note that you incur no obligation with globalCOAL until you sign and return the two signed copies of the Usage Agreement to globalCOAL. Please contact us should you wish to view a no-obligation demonstration of the Standard Coal System.

    Membership Packages...
    ... can be selected from one of the 6 options described below. Each package lasts for one year from the date of signature of the Usage Agreement. Each involves a different level of trading commitment (from none to 2 Mt/year) and therefore different commission levels (from 5c/mt to 2c/mt for physical coal).

    At any point during the year, a Market Member can switch to a higher membership category. However, a Market Member can only switch to a lower membership category at the end of their year. Membership includes 2 Trading Accounts and 1 View Only Account. Additional Trading Accounts or View Only Accounts are available at USD350.00 per Trading Account per month and USD250.00 per View Only Account per month.
