Benchmark Methodologies and Statements
The UK Benchmarks Regulation (BMR) is a wide-reaching regulation, which echoes the European Benchmarks Regulation and applies a common framework to the regulation of benchmarks. Information about the status of globalCOAL's benchmarks under the BMR is provided here. The BMR benchmark statements and methodologies are also available on this section of the website.
With effect from 12 December 2019, globalCOAL has been authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), to carry on the regulated activity of administering its benchmarks under the BMR. globalCOAL is listed on the FCA register as an approved benchmark administrator, which can be found here. Supervised entities in the UK, such as regulated exchanges, may therefore use benchmarks published by globalCOAL. Please read the press release announcement issuedhere.
