The fee includes attendance at all of the course's sessions via Zoom, course materials and a certification confirming successful completion of the course.
Following online registration for the course, if you select to pay by bank transfer, full payment (including VAT or GST where applicable) is required within twenty one (21) days from receipt of invoice, or no later than seven (7) days before the start of the course, whichever comes first. A receipt will be issued on payment. globalCOAL reserves the right to refuse admission if payment is not received on time or if an executed Product Licencing Agreement is not received by the date of the course. Payment must be made in USD. A 50% cancellation fee will be charged under the terms outlined below.
A Product Licensing Agreement, in globalCOAL's standard terms, must be signed by an authorised signatory before the day of the course. This can be completed at globalCOAL.com and will provide you with a license to use globalCOAL's intellectual property and trademarks on the terms set out in it.
Provided the total fee has been paid, substitutions at no extra charge up to two (2) days before the event are allowed provided globalCOAL is informed in writing.
Participant cancellations must be received in writing by email or fax four (4) weeks before the course is scheduled to be held in order to obtain a full refund (subject to an administration charge of US$50). Thereafter, 50% of the course fee is refundable if a cancellation is requested at least one (1) week before the course. Thereafter, no refund will be made. Non-payment or non-attendance does not constitute cancellation. If, for any reason, globalCOAL decides to cancel this course permanently, you will be informed by email or fax. In such case, globalCOAL will not be responsible for covering airfare, hotel, travel or other costs incurred by you but the course fee will be refunded in full.

As a coal market participant, you might be interested in finding out more about the benefits of index-linked pricing, as well as trading futures and options for price-risk management. If so, please join our team of experts to gain valuable insight into how to select the best index for your business and how to gain access to trading futures and options on the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
During the one hour event, we'll be covering all aspects of how globalCOAL's index methodology creates robust and objective benchmarks. We will also discuss how the gC NEWC index and gC Indo 3800 are used by our clients as an alternative to other established indices in the energy markets and explain why they are trusted by so many key players in the global industry.
With the recent price volatility in the coal markets, market interest has intensified around the hedging opportunities available using futures and options to help mitigate price risk associated with buying and selling coal. We are delighted to be joined by a guest speaker from ICE to explain the process for gaining market access, how ICE works, the benefits of using derivatives and an insight into how to hedge coal purchases and sales using futures and options.
Following updates from gC's CEO, Martin Abbott, Head of Asia, Richard Richardson and guest speaker Paul Groes (Director, Utility Markets) at the Intercontinental Exchange, the audience will be invited to ask questions and share ideas.
